About Us - The self (ish) story

Hi! - I'm Charlie, the founder of Self (ish) Company!

And the doggo with me is Monty.

I'd love to say he's our little helper, but he's actually quite the opposite.

(You can probably tell from the seemingly delicious snail hanging from his mouth)

Anyway, enough about us! - Self (ish) Company is a homegrown lifestyle brand located in St Albans, Hertfordshire, on the outskirts of London.

Our mission is simple - Craft high-quality, sustainable products that help you chill out, relax and put yourself first.

And for us, that means luxury handmade scented candles.

But when crafting them, we strictly care about quality over quantity.

Our soy wax candles took over six months to develop. Because from wax to wick and everything in between, we tried almost every material available to create what we believe are the best scented candles in the UK.

To ensure consistency, we hand blend, pour, assemble, and pack straight from our studio, meaning every candle is 100% made by us.

Wherever possible, materials used to make our candles are manufactured, and sourced from companies within the UK, allowing us to produce the best candles around whilst reducing our impact on the environment.

Oh, did we mention everything in our range is vegan-friendly and cruelty-free?

(You might have to ignore the poor snail when reading that last sentence!)
